What a day! Congratulations to all St Albans Half Marathon participants

Last Sunday saw one of the finest St Albans Half Marathons in its 36-year history, with an excellent turnout in all categories.
Wed 14th Jun 2017

The SA Law-sponsored Corporate Challenge was particularly well-represented, with many teams taking part. Congratulations to the winners from Cleveland Scott York, with a sterling performance from their team for the Corporate 5K finishing in under 24 minutes, and Gates Ford who won the half marathon with all four team members finishing within the top 41 places!

Both teams who won the SA Law Corporate Challenge were handed a £250 donation from SA Law to the winner’s chosen charity.

Marilyn Bell, Head of SA Law’s Family department says “The Half Marathon has always demonstrated how close our community is, but knowing that so many local companies are contributing gives you a wonderful feeling on the day.”

“And you couldn’t ask for a better route for the 5K, “It is a great route and takes you through parts of the park you wouldn’t usually explore – other than on a sledge when we get some snow!”

“SA Law has enjoyed a close relationship with the St Albans Half Marathon, 5K and fun run, and we are delighted to sponsor yet another highly successful Corporate Challenge,” comments Julie Gingell, SA Law’s Director of Marketing and Business Development. “I took part in the corporate challenge this year and it was a great team building exercise, I urge as many local businesses as possible to take part in next year’s event.”

In addition to a fun day out that helps to raise money for worthy causes, there are many local publicity opportunities for businesses that enter the Corporate Challenge. This includes regional media coverage, a listing on the Corporate page of the half marathon website, and a mention in the Half Marathon e-newsletter that now boasts a readership of over 11,000 subscribers.
