Business Administration Apprenticeship

We have an exciting opportunity to join SA Law as a Business Administration Apprentice, giving you a unique opportunity to find out through personal experience exactly what it is like to work in a law firm. It’s a great way to start out in your career where you will gain highly valued skills and work in a fun, dynamic law firm. You will gain valuable hands-on experience working with the business support team, this will include; Marketing, HR, Finance, Reception and Facilities.

Our culture is professional and client-orientated, but with a strong emphasis on collegiate relationships, friendship and fun. You’ll be working in a positive and supportive working environment, enabling you to put your academic learning into practice, whilst having the opportunity to add real-time value and contribute to the success of the Firm.

The role is based in our St Albans office, just a short walk from the City centre, and train station.

We are looking for candidates with the following personal qualities, skills and qualifications:

  • At least 5 GCSEs at grade 9 to 4 or A*to C, including English and Maths
  • A levels (preferred)
  • A willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Approachable manner
  • Can work well in a busy team environment
  • Good attention to detail
  • Professional, proactive and confident
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines

Commercial Litigation Solicitor

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Commercial Litigation Solicitor (3-5 PQE) to join our fantastic, highly rated and friendly St Albans office. Our commercial litigation team boast an exceptional reputation for achieving client success. We advise on all forms of dispute, from straightforward debt recovery to complex international cases. We assist public and private companies, partnerships, directors, entrepreneurs, charities, education providers and high net worth individuals.

The successful solicitor will join a busy department dealing with a broad caseload covering all aspects of commercial disputes. 

SA Law Trainee Solicitors

We recruit trainees annually and our 2019/20 Trainee Solicitor recruitment process is now closed. Applications for our 2020/2021 Trainee Solicitor recruitment process will open later in the year.

We look for people with technical legal ability, commercial instinct and strong interpersonal skills. To be successful you will also need to able to demonstrate that you are committed to a career in law as a commercial or private client solicitor. We require a minimum of a 2.1 at degree level (any discipline) and you must have completed your LPC.

From the minute you join us, you will be actively involved at SA Law. Not only will you be given responsibility and interesting, challenging, and varied work, our small trainee intake means you will be recognised as an individual. We offer four six-month seats across our six legal practice groups, giving each trainee a range of different experiences, before deciding which area of law they would like to qualify into.
