Marilyn Bell joins the board of the St Albans Business Improvement District (BID)

Marilyn Bell, Partner and Head of the Family Law Team, has expanded her work in the regional community by joining the board of the St Albans Business Improvement District (BID).

St Albans BID is a not for profit organisation that works with local businesses and residents to create a thriving trading environment, and attract visitors to the City centre. The BID is voted and paid for by local businesses. Following a highly successful first term, the St Albans BID was voted in for a second term earlier this year.

Operating through five areas of focus, the BID seeks to provide tangible value to people working, living, visiting and doing business in the area. Its five areas of focus cover the appearance of public spaces, leisure opportunities, business, awareness of St Albans as a destination, and building relationships and partnerships to create a sustainable city centre.

Marilyn's involvement with the St Albans BID continues SA Law’s long tradition of taking a highly active role in the regional community.

Marilyn says: “I’m really looking forward to being more actively involved, and working closely with the BID team and the range of local businesses that it serves.”

There are currently over 330 BIDs in the UK, generating over £135 million* annually to improve local facilities and services. You can read more about BIDs on the gov.uk website.
