EXPERTISE
I work with organisations and individuals in all areas of employment, from maintaining harmonious employer-employee relationships to resolving disputes.
I advise organisations on contracts of employment, employment policies and procedures, and help with specific employee-related issues such as disciplinary action, handling grievances, managing sickness absence and advising on redundancy and restructuring. I work closely with the organisations senior management and/or HR teams in order to help guide them through what can sometimes be a difficult situation.
For individuals, I review and negotiate settlement agreements with their employer to ensure their interests are protected. I also advise employees who are facing redundancy to make sure they are treated fairly and understand the process.
I handle tribunal proceedings for both employers and individuals in relation to a range of employment matters including unfair dismissal, breach of contract, discrimination claims and whistleblowing.
Alongside employment law, I also specialise in data protection law. I advise organisations on how to meet their legal obligations to manage and protect personal data and help them to address complaints and suspected data breaches. I also regularly advise organisations on how to deal with and respond to data subject access requests.
