Black History Month Resources

Black History Month Resources | Thursday 8 October 2020 | 2 min read

October is Black History Month. First celebrated in the UK in 1987, Black History Month is an annual celebration of achievements of the black community, recognising and sharing the outstanding contributions people of African and Caribbean descent have made throughout history. It is an opportunity to look back, reflect and understand Black history, as well as raising awareness and recognising there is still a lot more to do to establish equality.

This year SA Law will be celebrating Black heritage in the Law with our colleagues by sharing events, resources and further reading with everyone. While all our events this year will be virtual, we hope for future events we will be able to organise a guest speaker to join us.

Please do share your thoughts/feedback for any events/resources you attend with any of the Equality and Diversity committee, team member details shown below.
