I am a solicitor specialising in family law, with a particular focus on divorce, financial settlements, and children matters. I have vast experience handling cases involving children (which often involve addiction or domestic violence issues), non-molestation orders, and occupation orders under the Family Law Act. I am particularly passionate about supporting clients through children’s issues, which I find incredibly rewarding.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with a wide range of individuals and families, helping them navigate some of the most challenging and emotional times in their lives. My clients come from all walks of life, be they married or unmarried , parents or grandparents. Every client is unique, which is why I tailor my advice to their specific situation. I pride myself on being empathetic, a good listener, and always putting my clients’ needs first.
Mediation can lead to a more efficient and cost-effective resolution, and I support its use where possible. However, when mediation is not the best approach in your particular situation, I provide clear advice on your other options, including negotiations through solicitors and the possibility of issuing Court proceedings when necessary.
A team player, I work closely with colleagues across the firm if any issues arise that fall outside my specialism. That way, I make sure my clients get all the assistance they need from SA Law.
KEY EXPERIENCE
• Making a successful application on behalf of a mother to remove Parental Responsibility from a father following extensive findings of fact made against him.
• Making a successful relocation application on behalf of a Father for his 2 sons to live with him in Spain.
• Obtaining a non-molestation and occupation order for a mother against an adult child.
• Securing significant findings of fact against a father in Children Act proceedings impacting on the type and level of time the children subsequently spent with him.
• Representing a party in a Notice to Show cause application, succeeding in showing that an agreement had been previously reached and successfully obtaining a costs order against the other party.
