Johanna Ponce Debt Paralegal | Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution Team

Expertise

I’m an experienced Debt Paralegal specialising in debt negotiation, recovery and litigation, supporting businesses and individuals in resolving debt matters efficiently, strategically and cost-effectively.

I’ve successfully recovered over £200,000 in outstanding commercial debt, achieving results through a combination of negotiated settlements, structured payment arrangements and litigation in contested claims. I’ve also represented clients in court proceedings, advocating on behalf of companies pursuing the recovery of outstanding debts through litigation.

Alongside debt recovery, I assist commercial clients in scrutinising terms and conditions, contracts and commercial agreements to identify potential liabilities and reduce the risk of future disputes. I also advise on commercial and property matters, including tenancy agreements, sublease agreements, licences to assign, Land Registry checks and SDLT, as well as supply agreements, helping clients understand their contractual obligations, responsibilities and legal position.

I work with clients step by step, clearly explaining the process, next steps and available options at each stage. Following the applicable pre-action protocol, I provide practical, commercially focused guidance on the most appropriate route forward, helping clients understand the costs, risks and benefits while avoiding unnecessary delays and wasted expenditure. My aim is to give clients clarity and confidence in their legal position, so they can make informed decisions and pursue the most appropriate, cost-effective resolution.
