Join a leading law firm, SA Law is recruiting a Construction Solicitor to support our growing practice

This role offers exposure to a wide range of non – contentious and contentious matters (including court litigation, adjudication, arbitration, mediation, expert determination and insurance-related claims). You will work with a varied client base across both public and private sectors, including developers, property owners, contractors, professional consultants and insurers, with exposure to a wide variety of construction related matters including disputes.

You will be encouraged to take ownership of your caseload, contribute to strategy and develop relationships with longstanding and new clients.

Role Requirements:

  • Qualified and currently working at a law firm in England & Wales
  • PQE: 4-6 years with a strong track record in construction litigation work

With experience in:

  • litigation in the Technology & Construction Court;
  • adjudication, arbitrations and, ADR mechanisms;
  • proven knowledge of standard industry contracts: JCT, NEC, FIDIC and ability to interpret, draft or advise on these and familiarity with bespoke contracts;
  • technical, analytical and drafting skills;
  • work with expert technical evidence (engineering, quantity surveying etc.);
  • project management and case management skills, ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, budgets;
  • commercial awareness, ability to appreciate cost/benefit, risk, and client sensitivities, pragmatic approach to strategy;
  • excellent communication skills (written & oral), capable of interacting with clients, experts, counsel, etc.;
