SA Law Partner Tom Lawrence “Transfers” to Gillingham FC as New CEO

Tom Lawrence joins Gillingham Football Club this month as their new Chief Executive Officer, but remains with SA Law as a Consultant.

The role at Gillingham is an exciting opportunity for Tom who has worked closely with the club for a number of years as their lawyer. In taking on this new position Tom will be working closely with the Football Club’s Chairman, Paul Scally, focusing on Gillingham’s plans for the future.

Steve Ryan, SA Law’s Managing Partner says “Tom joined us in 2016, and quickly became a valued member of SA Law’s Commercial Litigation team in our London office. We see this as a great opportunity for Tom who will have the full and continuing support of the team here at SA Law going forward.”

Tom Lawrence commented “Taking the position at Gillingham was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a partner at SA Law, however, this was an opportunity that I needed to explore. I thank the team at SA Law for the continued support they are giving to Gillingham Football Club, for supporting me in my decision and enabling me to be retained by them as a Consultant.”

Steve adds “We are glad Tom will remain part of the SA Law family and we are confident that he will be very successful in his new role at Gillingham FC.”
