SA Law’s recent round of promotions recognises the talents of four female team members.
It was not until 1919, when the Sex Disqualification Act was passed, that women were allowed to practice law. Today, 40% of SA Law’s partners are women, far above the 29% of women partners in comparable UK law firms (Solicitors Regulation Authority 2017 survey).
SA Law Managing Partner, Steve Ryan said “I would like to welcome Keely as Partner. Her promotion strengthens the SA Law partnership and demonstrates our commitment to recognising talent. I’d also like to congratulate all four women on their promotions and thank them for their diligence and loyalty.”
SA Law has been at the forefront of encouraging diversity and flexibility in the workforce. In a team of 93 partners, lawyers and support staff, one third have agreed flexible working terms. This flexibility acknowledges the demands placed on today’s workforce from young families, older parents, and the need to balance working and personal lives.
