Disclosure: No place to hide

Marilyn Bell comments on the lack of disclosure in financial proceedings to Family Law Journal.

Partner and Head of the Divorce & Family Law team, Marilyn Bell writes in the October edition of the Family Law Journal about financial disclosure in divorce and how misinformation including the hiding of wealth can lead to unfair divorce settlements.

Marilyn states that full financial disclosure is very important, and it is likely to be clear from an early stage if it isn't going to be forthcoming.

Hiding assets during the divorce process comes up time and again, so what legal procedures are in place to prevent it? Is the law is doing enough to uphold full financial disclosure in divorce and what are the potential remedies to resolve issues with this kind of disclosure?
