The looming threat of tribunals and malpractice suits can seriously affect your team’s ability to perform their daily duties. But in most instances, these cases can be avoided if you invest the time to monitor staff performance that contributes to the overall work ethic of your school.

Schools are generally affected by the same claims that commonly occur in most workplaces. Claims that are filed usually involve unfair dismissal, unlawful deduction from wages, and discrimination, as we all those relating to whistleblowing and safeguarding issues. But there are basic measures employers can take to minimise risk of claims arising. Whilst these don’t offer total immunity, adopting a proactive and common sense approach can help to avoid and diffuse difficult situations.
