SA Law are proud sponsors of the St Albans Half Marathon

We are once again proud sponsors of the St Albans Half Marathon and are encouraging companies to enter teams of at least four runners to take part in our Corporate Challenge, which will see businesses from throughout the district competing against each other in either the 5K or half marathon.

To increase the competitive edge, the company team with the lowest aggregate score for their combined first four runners home will win £250 for a charity of their choice, a trophy and bragging rights within the business community for the next 12 months.

SA Law entered a team of eight in last year’s event and there is even more interest this time round according to team leader Mike Lewis.

And, new this year, runners can take advantage of a 5k and 10k training programme to ensure everyone is fully prepared for the big day. There will be training sessions every three weeks in the run up to the event starting from the 6th April. Click here to find out more and sign up to train with SA Law and two qualified run leaders.

Corporate Team members will get free access to the VIP area with marquee, queue-free bag drop zone, luxury toilets and changing, outdoor and indoor seating and complimentary food and drink.

They will also get a listing on the corporate page of the race website (with links to their own business website and social media channels), a name-check in the race newsletter sent to 12,000 subscribers and invitations to a pre-race networking event.

It is estimated last year’s run, the 35th raised more than £145,000 for various charities. This time round the run will raise cash for Rennie Grove Hospice Care, a charity providing care and support for patients diagnosed with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Every year, through the 24/7 Hospice at Home service, Family Support services and a range of Day Services at Grove House, the charity gives thousands of patients the choice to stay at home, surrounded by their families and friends.

This year’s event will take place on Sunday, June 11, with runners starting and finishing in beautiful Verulamium Park. Runners will be under starter’s orders for 11am and finishers will receive a race T-shirt, medal, goodie bag, cooling ice lolly and hearty applause.

As well as the half marathon and 5K there will be a walking half marathon, wheelchair half marathon, and 1.5 mile children’s fun run.

Entrance for the half marathon costs £45 while it is £30 for the 5K. You can register by visiting
