Study links schools exclusion to long-term mental health problems

Associate in the Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team, Clare Mackay comments in Education Executive on new research showing that excluding pupils can lead to long-term psychiatric problems.

She comments "a pupil's psychological condition can be a disability for the Equality Act 2010 if it presents as a physical or mental impairment which has a substantial and long-term adverse effect on their ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities".
