Immigration for European nationals
SA Law advises many European individuals and families on how to live, work and study in the UK.
European nationals currently have the right to live, work and study in the UK under European immigration law. SA Law’s specialist team helps nationals from across the European Union to achieve their UK immigration objectives, whether they wish to live in the UK on a temporary or permanent basis. This includes family members who wish to join those already settled in the UK.
We can help you with all types of visa application, including:
- EEA Permanent Residence
- EEA Residence Cards
- EEA Family Permits
- EEA Registration Certificates
- EEA Retained Right of Residence
- Naturalisation as a British Citizen
- Registration of a child as British
We also advise organisations that employ EEA nationals on the implications of Brexit, the implications of Brexit to EEA nationals and their family members and the new "settled status" application as it is introduced by the Home Office.
How we help you
We give you step-by-step advice on how to complete and submit the necessary application forms, or can undertake the entire process ourselves for a competitive fixed fee.
It’s good to bear in mind
EEA nationals must submit certain documentation with their application, such as evidence of having comprehensive health insurance (which is sometimes required). We can advise you on what you need.
In some cases, it can help if you obtain a national ID card, which can be submitted with your application.
If you wish to stay in the UK permanently, pay close attention to the length of time you spend out of the country. Try to keep your visits to less than 6 months in each 12 month-period after you first arrive in the UK.
