Commercial Property Solicitor

SA Law is recruiting for a Solicitor to join the Commercial Real Estate team

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Solicitor to join our busy Real Estate team.

As commercial property solicitors, we advise on all aspects of this highly challenging sector, from single property transactions/lettings through to managing large property portfolios.

Based in St Albans, our commercial property solicitors have particular expertise in the property investment, development and construction sectors. We advise many property investors and developers on the suitability, risk and return of their projects – guiding them through negotiations and ensuring their investments are protected for the future.

The successful candidates will undertake a range of non-contentious commercial and residential property work (but not residential conveyancing). Your typical workload is likely to include:

• Advising a range of clients on commercial and residential property matters including buyers, sellers, landlords/tenants, investors and developers;

• Managing a mixed caseload of commercial and residential property files from start to finish and supporting more senior fee earners on their caseloads including (but not limited to) freehold and leasehold sales and purchases of commercial premises (including residential blocks of flats), site acquisitions, disposals and development, property finance and corporate support work.

• Drafting and negotiating all related legal paperwork including (but not limited to) contracts for sale, transfers, leases and agreements for lease, licences, guarantees and legal charges;

We are looking for candidates with ideally between 2-5 years PQE, with experience of working in a busy private practice team dealing with non-contentious property work. Candidates should have strong academics and have worked within well-respected law firms.

The role offers a great work life balance, whilst providing high quality work and offering genuine career opportunities. The department maintains an excellent work load that includes a broad range of matters.

It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their career and gain plenty of hands on experience at a Legal 500 firm. We would consider part-time hours for this role.
