Opt-in and get your business GDPR-ready

This essential event is valuable for any senior director or manager with responsibility for customer or employee data, including finance, HR, marketing, business development and owner-managers of SMEs.

With just under eight months until the biggest shake-up in data protection law for 20 years, all UK organisations must be ready for greater transparency and accountability for the way they handle customer and employee data. SA Law’s essential seminar gives you a clear roadmap to compliance. Book your place now.

On 25th May 2018, a new Data Protection Act comes into force that will implement the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). While many of your day-to-day legal obligations remain the same, there are some critical changes to be aware of and a greatly increased maximum fine for non-compliance of approximately £18 million (€20 million) or 4% of your global turnover. Even with Brexit, this will remain law in the UK going forward.

SA Law’s popular GDPR seminar has helped many organisations to understand the changes, and begin their journey towards compliance. The event is valuable for any senior director or manager with responsibility for customer or employee data, including finance, HR, marketing, business development and owner-managers of SMEs.

The event will brief you on:

  • Why the law is changing
  • What the changes mean for you
  • How to build a roadmap for compliance, and promote a strong data protection culture

With developments over recent months, this particular session goes into more detail about the legal changes. Attendees of our earlier GDPR seminars will learn new information to help them with their compliance journey.
